The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers has turned out especially well, mingling aromas of pear, white flowers, citrus pith and blanched almonds in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, bright and chiseled, with good cut and concentration, it's a well-balanced, precise wine that will age with grace.

Minerals and lemon on the nose – very Chassagne. Cool and fresh enough. You could drink this now almost! Good tension and no shortage of refined fruit which should eventually evolve into something a bit more subtle. Light bitter note on the end. (JR)
