Score 93/100 · Drink 1995-2030, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2025
Groffier's 1980 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is drinking beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of blood orange, sweet red berries, peonies, spices and grilled squab. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's pure and crystalline, its dense mid-palate girdled by lively acids, concluding with a long, rose-inflected finish.
