The 2021 Château Chauvin brings solid ripeness in its red, blue, and black fruits as well as subtle background oak, tobacco, and crushed stone-like minerality. It's medium-bodied and nicely balanced, with fine tannins and a good finish.

The 2021 Chauvin has an open and inviting bouquet, with blackberry, wild hedgerow and cedar scents that gain vigor with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity and a harmonious finish, albeit relatively lighter compared to recent vintages. This will drink well for 15 years or so.
The 2021 Chauvin is a soft, understated wine. Lavender, spice, blueberry, mint and licorice are nicely delineated in this mid-weight Saint-Émilion. This is an especially delicate, floral style, with good energy and solid overall balance for the year. Nervy tannins extend the finish.
Delivers a sense of control and carefully-placed fruits, very much on the medium-ripe side, think red cherry, redcurrant, no straying towards damson or cassis, with balance and finesse. The acidity, as with all of these wines, is pretty high, but given extra layers of cloves and white pepper, and offers a mouthwatering lift on the finish.
