Spice, sandalwood, white pepper, and incense notes all emerge from the 2021 Cornas, a medium-bodied, pretty, beautifully complex Cornas. It shows the more mid-weight style of the vintage, yet it has good mid-palate density as well as ripe tannins. It's promising.

Tasted blind. Sandalwood, smoke, fig and pepper. Generous, sweet, red fruit. Fine tannins with a peppery note and sandalwood. Ripe and generous but with good freshness beneath. Appealing. (AC)
