Tasting notes
Good full red. High-toned, superripe aromas of currant, potpourri, dried flavors and chocolate. Then surprisingly tight and penetrating in the mouth, with lovely energy and purity of flavor. Very firmly tannic today and in need of several years of cellaring. Doesn't have the size of the vintage's best examples but hardly lacks for vibrancy.

Deep red. Perfumed aromas of black fruits, violet, rose petal and brown spices. Juicy, tight and youthful, with intense flavors of black fruits, brown spices and mocha. Offers a restrained sweetness. Finishes quite long and juicy. But essentially smaller-scaled.
Mid-crimson. Very muted nose. Quite high acidity. Strong spine of tannin and not quite enough fruit intensity. (JR)
