Tasting notes
The 2019 Barolo Cannubi has a lovely spicy, almost exotic quality with tart cherry fruit and nicely balanced campfire ash, tar and licorice root. You get the elegant nuances of Cannubi presented with extra intensity and richness in the 2019 vintage. The finish has sweet fruit, silky tannins and an open-knit approach. The wine is aged in large oak casks for 36 months, and 10,000 bottles were created.

Barolo. Mid ruby with bright orange tinges. A timidly perfumed, brooding sweet/sour-cherry nose. Compact cherry fruit wound up in acidity and powdery tannins. Lithe red fruit on the finish. (WS)
The 2019 Barolo Cannubi is another super-classic Barolo from Rinaldi. It offers a combination of Cannubi finesse and old-school power that is striking. Crushed flowers, mint, cedar, white pepper, leather and pine lend notable aromatic brilliance. Beneath it all lies a serious core of fruit, acid and tannin. Readers should be in no rush here.
