Tasting notes
The 2022 Saint-Véran Lieu (Inter)dit is mainly from Côte-Rôtie, which cannot be mentioned on the label anymore. Matured 25% in barrel, this has a slightly oxidative element on the nose, perhaps not as precise as other cuvées; maybe the warmth is getting to the fruit a bit more here. The palate is honeyed on the entry, rich and viscous, not heavy but weighty for sure, to the point where I would serve it slightly chilled in the glass.

Ripe and generous, the 2022 Saint-Véran Lieu (Inter)dit delivers aromas of pear, waxy citrus fruit, freshly baked bread and sweet stone fruits, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and satiny palate. A little more cut and tension would have stood this cuvée in good stead.
