Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2014
The 2012 Boggina Anfora is much less expressive than the straight Boggina. I am not sure what vinification in terra cotta amphora adds to this fruit, except to give the wine darker, earthier overtones and a bit more depth. The flavor profile, though, remains quite similar. I would give the 2012 a year or two in bottle, and see what happens. My impression is that the Anfora is still a work in progress.
