The ’09 Fournaux is showing very well with a lovely bilberry and wild strawberry bouquet that is perfumed and floral, almost Vosne-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy, sappy red berry fruit and quite firm, slightly rustic tannins underneath. With a hint of spice just perking up the finish, this is a delightful Savigny that is almost too good to cellar. Tasted March 2013.
