The 2021 Bourgogne Aligoté Auvonnes Au Pépé had shut down on the nose when I tasted it at the Domaine. The palate is fresh and vibrant with lime juice and citrus lemon, quite linear and strict towards the marine-tinged finish. Give it a year in bottle.

From a parcel planted in the 1930s, the 2021 Bourgogne Aligoté Les Auvonnes Au Pépé is attractive, mingling notes of mint and white flowers with aromas of pear and orange oil in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with tangy acids and a saline finish, it's worth seeking out.
