Tasting notes
Brilliant ruby. Primary red and dark berry aromas open up slowly, taking on bright Asian spice and mineral nuances. Sappy and perfumed, offering appealingly sweet, deeply concentrated black raspberry and cherry compote flavors and a bracing jolt of white pepper. Shows more red fruit character on the clinging, gently tannic finish, which features a sexy hint of candied flowers.

The 2014 Moulin à Vent Vignes Centenaire comes from century old vines and includes 50% whole bunch. It has a clean and precise, mineral-driven bouquet with scents of sea spray developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe black cherry fruit, very harmonious and complete with a silky finish. Readers should note that this cuvée will only be bottled in magnum.
