Score 90/100 · Drink 2005-2011, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2003
Flowers, spices, and dark berries can be discerned in the nose of the 2000 Clos Vougeot. Loads of spices, fresh red and black fruits, as well as hints of oak are found in its deep, concentrated core of fruit. Medium to full-bodied, it is an expressive, harmonious, and powerful wine. Projected maturity: 2005-2011. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083

Medium ruby-red. Reticent nose suggests smoked meat. Fat, dense, chewy and sweet, but not currently showing much nerve or detail. Finishes with big but essentially sweet tannins and very good length.
