Tasting notes
The 2019 Barolo Cerretta is soft, delicate and classy. Dried rose petal, cinnamon, blood orange, mint and dried flowers fill out the layers. This effortless, layered Barolo opens nicely with a bit of time in the glass. There's gorgeous resonance and plenty of class here.

2019 a great vintage in Italy and this is a delicious, softly-spoken Barolo, with the finesse and chiselled tannins of Cerretta, delivering the combination of translucence and yet intensity of flavour. Tobacco, sage, cut herbs, raspberry, redcurrant, pomegranate, mandarin peel, high acidity, with a subtle building up of juicy flavours is enticing and impressive. Andrea Delpiano winemaker. Ageing in a mix of 25 and 50hl barrels French oak.
The 2019 Barolo Cerretta is an attractive red with a supple perfume and a balanced sheen and purity. It displays elegance and grace, though it still has great Serrralunga structure. With the ripe, sweet tannins that are characteristic of these wines. This is a really wonderful wine that can be drunk now or over the next 15 to 20 years.
Concentrated and finely perfumed at the same time. Raspberry fruit with a hint of orange. A palate of succulent raspberry fruit with lots of supple acidity and beautiful, coating tannins absorbing the lush fruit. Complete. (WS)
