Tasting notes
The 2012 Marsannay Cuvee Marie Ragonneau has a subdued nose bereft of the fruit concentration exhibited by the domaine’s other 2012s. The palate is slightly better, with dried grapefruit and a dash of spice on the entry, but thereafter is missing the thrust to make a real impression. Drink now-2016. Importer: Martine’s Wines. Novato, CA; tel. (415) 883-040 and through Goedhuis & Co in the UK.

Smooth, light, understated nose. Slightly green on the palate, and finishes with bitterness. (RH)
