Tasting notes
The 2014 Meursault Narvaux has a slightly candied bouquet with hints of peach and lemon thyme emerging with time. The palate has a little more weight and presence compared to the Les Vireuils, sharing a spiciness and sense of tension on the slightly abrupt finish. It should gain a little persistence during the rest of its élevage.

Aromas of musky ripe apple and smoke, plus subtle notes of truffle and flowers and a lactic nuance following the recent end of the malolactic fermentation. Round and aromatic, with apple and stone flavors coming across as a bit disjointed today but showing an attractive light touch. Leroux notes that these very old vines are not a clonal selection, and I wonder if there's a bit of pinot gris in the mix.
