Tasting notes
The 2013 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard seems less intense than some of its siblings, with more notes of roasted nuts and a Meursault-like smokiness that seemed more pronounced. This is also one of the more exotic cuvées in this portfolio, with good deep fruit and richness. Drink over the next 4-6 years.

The 2013 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard is wonderfully complete. Expressive mineral-inflected aromatics meld into a core of layered fruit in a powerful, expansive Chardonnay endowed with true pedigree. A real stand out, the 2013 Hudson possesses notable depth, structure and resonance.
Graphite, savory herbs, chamomile, apricot and crème brulée open up in the 2013 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard. Exotic and dense on the palate, the 2013 also offers tremendous structure to balance out some of its more overt leanings. Today, the Hudson is one of the most powerful wines in the range.
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
