Bottled bone dry and with 13.5% stated alcohol, the Trimbach 2020 Riesling Réserve unites the domaine's fruit of Ribeauvillé and Bergheim to a dense and tightly knit, rather robust classic with concentrated fruit representing the old vines on limestone soils. The wine is powerful and grippy and reveals remarkable acidity, yet I find the finish a bit astringent or at least drying. 40,000 bottles produced. Tasted at the domaine.

Super-ripe lemon, fresh pineapple and herb aromas pour from the glass of this medium-bodied, concentrated and sophisticated dry riesling. Completely dry, with excellent balance at the long, very clean finish. 100% estate fruit from Ribeauvillé and Bergheim. Drink or hold.
