The 2014 Lamé Delisle Boucard Prestige is an old-school, firm yet fresh style, with classic Cabernet Franc pencil lead and spice, as well as greenness. There is little pleasure here; this is hard and high in acid.

Minty nose and surely as vibrant and juicy and youthful as the day it was made. Peter Pan wine? It tastes as if it simply hasn't aged. The tannins are bouncing with life. Masses of fire-engine-red fruit. Crammed with cranberries and delightfully nippy, waspish bitterness. This is so damn refreshing. And just so ready to drink. What a steal. VGV (TC)
