Tasting notes
The 2019 Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru has a fresh, well-defined bouquet, the citrus fruit, Granny Smith apples and light limestone aromas unfolding in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a waxy-textured, quite deep opening. Flecked with white chocolate and apricot and a little peachy toward the finish, but there is always fine tension here thanks to Blagny’s cooler microclimate. Very fine.

Cask sample. Rich and round on the nose. A bit like Meursault of old. Very opulent and just a little foot-dragging. Horses for courses? (JR)
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
