The 2022 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has a pretty bouquet with dried white flowers infusing the malic fruit. The palate is well balanced with a smooth texture, fine acidity, lightly spiced with white pepper and a touch of ginger that lingers on the finish. This is quite lovely. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

The 2022 Blanc from Malartic Lagravière exudes a fresh, delicate bouquet of confit citrus, white flowers and white fruits. Moderately weighted and tense, it's round with an incisive mid-palate and an energetic, vibrant finish enhanced by boxwood notes.

The 2022 Château Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is tighter and more closed compared to the second wine, yet it has remarkable purity, precision, and length. Crushed citrus, melon rind, mint, and some floral notes all define the aromatics, and it's flawlessly balanced on the palate, with solid acidity, medium to full-bodied richness, and a mineral, salty character on the finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. Based on 76% Sauvignon and 24% Sémillon, it’s up with the top whites in the vintage.

The 2022 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc presents a complex bouquet with yellow plum, jasmine and fresh pear scents, plus a touch of persimmon in the background. It shows fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with a tangy, resinous entry and impressive weight, revealing tropical fruit toward the finish while maintaining the DNA of a Pessac-Léognan. Classy and sophisticated, this will be difficult to resist in its youth but will age with style.
