Score 86/100 · Drink 2019-2020, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jan 2020
A disappointing effort, Gripa's 2017 Saint Joseph Blanc offers up appealing scents of toast and grilled citrus, but it lacks weight and concentration on the palate, ultimately coming across as medium-bodied and short.

The 2017 Saint Joseph Blanc from this reference point Saint Joseph estate is a winner. Based on 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne, it has ultra-pure, classic notes of white peach, white flowers, honeysuckle, and hints of spice in its pure, elegant, silky, balanced style. It shows the forward, supple, charming side to the vintage yet is nicely concentrated, pure, and lengthy. Drink bottles over the coming 2-4 years, although I wouldn't be surprised to see it keep longer.
