Score 92/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, May 2011

The 2007 Corelium is from a 4 acre single vineyard with vines ranging from 70-100 years. The blend is 90% Carignan and 10% Grenache with the wine raised in new 300-liter French oak for 16 months. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it gives up an aromatic array of liquid mineral, bitter chocolate, lilac, black plum, and blueberry. On the palate it displays elevated acidity in an intellectual style for Priorat. It has significant tannin that will require 6-8 years of additional cellaring. It should offer prime drinking from 2017 to 2027. Terra de Verema is a boutique-sized Priorat estate sourcing from vineyards in the villages of Scala Dei and El Lloar. The winemaker here is Esther Nin, the vineyard manager for Clos Erasmus. Importer: Eric Solomon Selections, Charlotte, NC; tel. (704) 358-1565
