Score 89/100 · Drink 1996-2007, Robert Parker, Dec 1992
One of my favorite Cote Rotie producers, Jamet is making splendidly concentrated wines that in the top vintages can last for several decades. The greatest wine I ever tasted from Jamet is his 1988. With respect to his two most recent vintages, Jamet is another producer whose 1991 outshines the 1990. Although the 1990 is dense and tannic, it does not have the flavor dimension or aromatic profile of the 1991. While deep, rich, and successful for the vintage, it ranks behind the Cote Roties Jamet produced in 1988, 1989, and 1991. Anticipated maturity: 1996-2007. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC.
