Dark, full red. Cherry and spice on the ripe but somewhat muted nose. Then juicy, fruity and perfumed in the mouth, with very good intensity and a pliant texture. A bit bigger and fleshier than the Chaumes but less minerally today. Finishes with firm but sweet tannins and very good subtle length.

Full ruby-red. Ripe, aromatic nose combines black cherry, licorice and flowers. Powerful and slightly high-toned in the mouth; in a rather muscular style and a bit aggressive with alcohol today. Finishes with very firm tannic spine and some apparent oak spice. This was 13.2% natural alcohol chaptalized to 13.5%, according to Croix, and one barrel of the three was new.
