Tasting notes
The entry-level 2010 Barolo offers an incredible value given the superb integration of fruit and the overall harmony of this very elegant vintage. Nebbiolo nuances of tar, licorice and balsam herb emerge at the fringe of dark fruit and pressed violets. This Barolo also stands out thanks to the clarity and overall intensity of the bouquet. Contrasting themes of fresh acidity and tannic dryness give this Barolo a heightened sense of power and muscle on the close. Drink: 2016-2026. Importers: T. The 2010 Barolo is an excellent introduction to the vintage. Soft and caressing to the core, the 2010 impresses for its supple, inviting personality. Sweet red berries, new leather and spices wrap around the juicy finish. This is everything a straight Barolo should be. Most importantly of all; delicious. The straight Barolo is made predominantly from younger vines in Arborina and the lower portions of Castelletto.
Good bright medium red. Soil-driven aromas of plum, musky brown spices and flowers. Lush and nicely concentrated, with harmonious ripe acidity giving shape to the middle palate. Finishes broad and persistent, with rather suave tannins. Excellent entry-level Barolo.
