Tasting notes
This delicate version of Krug's famous rosé is created from 38 wines from 9 vintages between 2005-2015, of which the reserve wines account for a full 55% of the cuvée. The subtle color comes from selected vineyards in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Very bright and mouth-wateringly beautiful with a fiercely elegant stream of pearl necklace mousse. Scent of orange, roses, geranium and walnuts. Delicate and ultra-fresh flavor with grapefruit, blood orange, chalk, pink pepper and Pata Negra. Fat coating, but mostly freshness and colorful energy field on the tongue. Delicious and ethereal.

This Glorious rosé is a blend from nin vintages between 2015 and 2005. Medium-deep orange and onion skin toned colour. There is a lovely white pepper and vanilla whiff to the pristine nose of sweet berry richness. There is a lovely mélange of red and dark fruit. Despite its winey qualitites and fine intensity it comes with a rare feeling of airiness and precision for the base year 2015. Lovely laceyness to the texture, finishing on a long, dry and mineral note.
Based on 2015 and a new release in late 2023. Olivier Krug describes this as 'the food Krug'. Much deeper colour than Krug Rosé used to be – it's a sort of pale Campari colour with a blueish tinge. Light strawberry note on the nose. Mouth-filling and substantial with the promise of further development and a slightly and by no means unpleasantly bitter note on the end. (JR)
Aromas of bread dough and watermelon with peaches on the nose. Some dried fruits. Full-bodied with phenolic tannins, like a fine pinot noir. The finish is very Burgundian with rose hip tea and dried lemons and kumquats. Crunchy. Delicious finish. Drink now or hold.
