Tasting notes
The 2022 Château Pierre 1er presents darker cherries, leafy herbs, earth, and graphite spice. Medium-bodied and balanced, it has solid tannins, an elegant structure, and outstanding length. It should drink well for 10-12 years.

The 2022 Pierre 1er has an attractive bouquet with perfumed red berry fruit, rose petal and cedar aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, sweet entry. It's creamy in style and renders the finish just a little cloying at the moment. Maybe it will improve with a year in bottle?
A rich, plummy nose of nicely baked cherries, hawthorn and citrus. Juicy on the palate, with firm, dusty tannins and a fruit-forward, medium-long finish. Drink from 2026.
Good floral aromatics, peony and raspberry leaf, grilled oak notes as it opens, with tar and cocoa bean. Enjoyable, approachable, highly charged on the finish. Sand and clay soils.
