Tasting notes
The dry white of Fourcas Hosten has stood out in both vintages during this tasting, and is definitely one to look out for. Fresh and sculpted flavours, with the warmth of the vintage coming through in softly toasted cloves and cumin spice, balanced by gentle stone fruits and lime zest. Gravity fed winery, vinified and in stainless steel and oak, aged mainly in 300l and 400l barrels (35% new), with some (16%) amphora, with lees stirring. Native yeast fermentation. 2.21ha of vines on clay limestone soils, planted in 2012.

The 2022 Fourcas Hosten Blanc is a simple, easygoing wine. Pineapple, passion fruit and exotic floral notes run through this very floral, tropical leaning white. A touch of sweetness makes this feel slightly off-dry.
