The 2019 Côtes du Rhône is a charming, elegant wine with pretty kirsch and black cherry fruit as well as lots of peppery herb and spice aromas and flavors, medium-bodied richness, no hard edges, and a clean, classy finish. An incredibly well-done, delicious Côtes du Rhône, it’s ideal for drinking over the coming 2-4 years. While the 2018s from this great estate are gorgeous wines that show the charming, elegant style of the vintage, the 2019s are a clear step up, and my money is on them being some of the wines of the vintage.
