The 2022 Château de la Rivière has a slightly savory, meaty nose that opens nicely in the glass. Maybe there is just a hint of Brett? The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy, pliant tannins. Moderate depth with gentle grip and a touch of hardness on the finish that should soften with time. Give it 18-24 months in bottle.

A blend of 88% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec, the 2022 Château De La Rivière is pure and elegant, with a juicy core of black cherries, violets, and floral nuances. Some darker mineral and chocolate notes emerge with time in the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, fresh, and beautifully balanced on the palate. This outstanding Fronsac will evolve gracefully for 10-12 years.
A juicy, velvety and supple Fronsac with aromas of dark cherries, plums and warm spices. Medium-bodied, it has velvety tannins and texture. Seductive and well-crafted with a crushed-blueberry character in the finish. Drink from 2026.
Lusciously-textured, dark-cherries, coffee beans, and licorice already show well in the round, supple, fresh, medium-bodied, plummy wine. This is going to be simply delicious on release. But, if you allow it a year or so for the oak to better integrate, it is going to be an even better wine. Drink from 2025-2037.
