Score 89/100 · Drink 2023-2033, Neal Martin, Mar 2021
The 2018 Cap St. George has a lively, well-defined bouquet of brambly red fruit, rose petal and just a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is well balanced with firm tannins, quite marine influenced but just missing a little length on the finish. It scarpers out the exit door with too much haste, which is a shame, because up until then it is very promising.

The 2018 Cap St. George is ripe, plummy and explosive, with tremendous fruit density to match its exuberant personality. Super-ripe red cherry, new oak and sweet spice add raciness. This striking Saint Gorges Saint-Émilion will drink well right out of the gate. There is no shortage of character.
