The 2017 Pommard En Brescul apparently underwent a very late malo. It has a touch of reduction on the nose, making it difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin framing the crisp, earthy red fruit. It is just missing a little length at the moment.

The fourth vintage for this cuvée, Lignier's 2017 Pommard En Brescul displays notions of spicy cherries and candied peel, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and nicely layered palate that's one of the more primary village wines in the cellar, displaying good depth of fruit and rich structuring tannin. It's quite promising.
