Tasting notes
Cru bourgeois. 67% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc. Fine gravel, gravelly sand and clay-limestone soils. Yield 38 hl/ha. Aged for 12–14 months in oak barrels. 77,600 bottles. Fruitier nose than many wines from this commune. Really very simple with a bit of acidity but not much else. A slightly farmyard nose. Hard work! (JR)

Full bottle 1,273 g. Certified sustainable (HVE, Terra Vitis). Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. Pretty hard work. Tannins as tough as over-cooked beef and sour acidity. (TC)
Spicy red and black fruits, tobacco, and leathery nuances all emerge from the 2020 Château Tour De Pez, a forward, medium-bodied, mid-weight effort that already offers pleasure yet should evolve for 10-12 years. I obviously overrated this from barrel in 2021, but it's still pretty darn good.
