An interesting blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 33% Merlot, and the rest Malbec, the 2021 Château Jean Faure is straight-up beautiful stuff loaded with ripe blue fruits, fresh plums, spring flowers, and violets. It's medium-bodied, has an incredible sense of purity and elegant, fine tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. It's not massive by any stretch, but this beauty shines for its purity and finesse. Give it 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 10-15 years.

The 2021 Jean Faure has an attractive nose: blackberry, briar, forest floor and light Earl Grey scents, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with green bell pepper-tinged black fruit from the 60% Cabernet Franc. Well-balanced with good depth, fine delineation and a cohesive, slightly herbaceous finish, this is a very commendable wine in a tricky vintage.
The 2021 Jean Faure is a very pretty, exotic wine. Cabernet Franc drives the blend, and that very much comes through in the wine's aromatic structure and overall feel. Rose petal, mint, blood orange, spice and crushed red berry fruit all run through this super-expressive, nuanced Saint-Émilion.

Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a fleshy core of fruit, ripe tannins and a long, perfumed finish, this estate's singular Cabernet Franc-dominated style has synergized with the vintage.
