Score 86/100 · Drink 2016-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2016
The 2012 Lestage-Simon is a bit hearty and rustic, but it is certainly not lacking in character. Cedar, herbs, smoke and tobacco accompany a core of dark-fleshed fruits in an Haut-Médoc that is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.

Score 85/100 · Drink 2015-2021, Robert Parker, Apr 2015
Like some of the lower-level Médocs, this is somewhat pinched and compact with medium-bodied, nice spice, new saddle leather and earth, but not sufficient fruit and flesh to balance out the wine’s structural components. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
