(from 60-year-old vines) Apricot, flowers and minerals on the thoroughly ripe nose. Fat, rich and stuffed with fruit. The pineapple and mineral flavors are firm, but this wine is almost shockingly silky and sweet for Folatieres, especially in a vintage like 2004. Pierre-Yves Colin notes that a few of his '04s finished with residual sugar as high as two grams per liter. Wonderfully dense, round and larger than life.
