Tasting notes
(from purchased fruit from a single source): Pale bright yellow. Subtle aromas of pear, white peach and white flowers. Boasts strong acidity (4.8 grams/liter) but has the sweetness of fruit to support it. The floral element carries through on the palate. Finishes with a saline quality and very good length. This will need a few years to mellow out. Beginning with 2015, Jadot will also have some Clos, Vaudésir and Blanchots.

The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses has a very sensual bouquet with orange-blossom, nectarine, jasmine and rosewater scents that are very well defined. Does it express Les Preuses? Not really, but that does not deny its attractiveness. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine line of acidity. There is more tension here than La Chablisienne's Les Preuses blind tasted alongside, that spiciness surfacing toward the finish and leading you directly to this grand cru. This is very fine in context of the vintage.
Very full and generous on the nose. Lots of freshness and greenness. Already thinkable as a drink though clearly there is lots buried in there. The acidity really builds on the finish. Great stuff for the long term. Very long indeed. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
