Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes, which contains 40% Premier Cru from the climat of La Combe d’Orveau, has quite an intense wild strawberry and blood orange bouquet, nicely defined and opening with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, silky texture and more blood orange. There is pleasant grip and impressive purity on the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade or so.
