Tasting notes
The 2018 Chablis Grenouilles Grand Cru has a complex nose with scents of crushed stone, Chinese white tea and light pressed white flower aromas. The palate is well balanced with a viscous opening, one of the most powerful and intense 2018 Chablis that I have tasted, delivering layers of lightly honeyed fruit laced with spice toward the finish. What it lacks in nervosité , it compensates with sheer hubris!

Wafting from the glass with aromas of yellow orchard fruit, peach, white flowers and honeycomb, the 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles is medium to full-bodied, textural and enveloping, with a deep and voluminous core of fruit, ripe but racy acids and a long, mineral finish.
The 2018 Chablis Grenouilles Grand Cru is another intense wine in the range. Extremely savory and mineral in profile, the Grenouilles is compact and totally shut down, which is probably a good thing for its long-term prospects. Dried herbs, chamomile, wild flowers and lemon confit all emerge from a boisterous, tightly wound Chablis. I expect the 2018 will benefit from time in bottle but it will always retain some slightly angular contours.
