Tasting notes
The 2017 Sancerre starts quite reductive on the nose but develops a coolish purity and aromatic freshness in a short time, with notes of leaf and gooseberry as well as wet, cold earth. Subtle and distinctive. On the palate, this is an elegant and balanced Sancerre with remarkable finesse and salinity but also a first aromatic maturity. It's not as bold and big as the 2018, but it is fine, food-friendly and crisp on the finish. Tasted in February 2021.
