Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 1997
Fully mature, this medium ruby-colored wine is beginning to reveal considerable amber at the edge. Some sweet, earthy, berry fruit is intertwined with spice box, cedar, and olive aromas. A broad, expansive sweetness to the fruit is appealing, but the finish is dry and austere. The 1982 Brune et Blonde requires drinking. Last tasted 3/94.
