The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has an elegant, mineral-driven bouquet that offers more rose petal aromas as it blossoms with aeration. There is exquisite red fruit here, the terroir really shining through. The palate is clean and precise, showing a little more body than the Les Roncières, and a tad more richness comes through on the finish. Great potential and very classy.

A virile wine built for the cellar, the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers unfurls in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cassis, peonies, orange rind and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, richly tannic and muscular, with a deep core of concentrated fruit, tangy acids and a long, fine-grained but firm finish. It will demand and reward patience.
