Tasting notes
(70% vendange entier ): Slightly liqueur-like red fruits and mint on the nose, along with a medicinal aspect. Ripe, dry, broad and concentrated, but showing a rougher texture than the 2013 version, and a bit less acidity. Finishes spicy and tight, in need of a bit of patience. This is 12.8% alcohol following light chaptalization.

The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrees impresses for its striking inner perfume, beautifully delineated fruit and impeccable overall balance. The 2012 is subtle, energetic and very, very pretty. Expressive blue/black fruits, licorice and floral notes inform the feminine, gracious finish. There is a lot to like here.
