The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village offers good concentration on the nose, delivering plenty of red plum, raspberry and a touch of damson that bursts through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin, very fine acidity, silky-smooth texture and gentle grip on the rounded, wild-strawberry-infused finish. Delightful.
Spicy, cedary and minty with raspberries and blueberries. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a juicy finish. Smoke and tar at the end. Structured. Drink after 2022.
Aromas of sweet grilled meats, spicy cassis, cherries and rich soil tones introduce the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, a medium to full-bodied, ample and impressively layered wine that includes some premier cru juice. With good depth and length, it's a decided success at the communal level this year.

Joseph Drouhin is one of the largest and most famous producers in Burgundy, making both domaine and négociant wines. It remains family-owned and run, now in the hands of the fourth generation.
