Tasting notes
The 1995 Barolo Bricco Fiasco offers a pronounced bouquet of tobacco smoke intermixed with melted asphalt/tar, truffles, and kirsch/cherry liqueur. This fragrant, dense, concentrated, full-bodied Barolo is powerful and long, but slightly backward. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2016. Very good deep red. More primary, grapier aromas of raspberry, cherry and mint; considerably less oaky today. Thick and even more concentrated, showing strong fruit and impressive density. This now comes across as larger scaled than the San Rocco. Boasts a strong tannic structure and terrific length.
