Tasting notes
Matured in two-year-old Chassin barrels, the 2021 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru has a divine peach skin and orange blossom scented bouquet, touches of wet stone coming through with time. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity, elegant and poised. Hints of white peach and quince lead to a fabulous, heart-melting finish. Exceptional in every way.

Aromas of lemon oil, tangerine, clear honey and nutmeg preface the 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy wine that's attractively textural and complete, with bright acids and a precise, gently élevage-inflected finish.
Cask sample. Smoky/stony citrus with a hint of that youthful sweaty aroma. Finely spiced. On the palate, fabulous citrus purity and bite but also a light mealy quality to give texture and shape to the fruit. Mouth-watering, almost sour in that freshness, and really long. (JH)
