Drink 2027-2040, Vinfolio, Nov 2022

The Chapelle-Chambertin was a little reductive when we tasted it, but with six months’ additional ageing at least, that will disappear – and there is great potential here. The dense and dark ruby colour is the first hint of its seriousness, followed by a seductive nose of crushed raspberries and redcurrant. Medium-bodied, it’s fresh with a vibrant grain of tannins surrounded by sappy red fruit that builds to a linear and clean finish, with surprising minerality. This will, in time, be a superb wine. Only one barrel produced.
