Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,304 g. J & B have no fewer than nine vintages of this wine in stock! The 2013 is the least expensive. J & B describe this as 'a mini Corton-Charlemagne'. I'd say the emphasis should be on the 'mini' despite the proximity of the hill of Corton to this climat . But it's certainly very clean and fresh on the nose and it does have a lot more weight on the palate than some Pernands. Good acidity too. I don't think anyone would be disappointed by this and a six-pack could be quite useful over the next few years. (JR)

Good acidity and freshness – real Pernand character. QGV (JR)
The 2020 Pernand Vergelesses Sous Frétille 1er Cru comes across too reduced on the nose. The palate is well balanced with a waxy textured opening, again, quite a lot of extract here; although, for me it just loses some of its tension on the finish.
