Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2013-2021, Robert Parker, Apr 2013
A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc grown in sandy and iron soils, the 2012 Haut-Segottes exhibits plenty of lead pencil shavings, black currants and black cherries, a surprisingly concentrated, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, copious tannins and a long finish. A potential sleeper of the vintage, it can be drunk over the next 6-8 years. This property, which I rarely see, is now under the supervision of Hubert de Bouard.
