Score 92/100 · Drink 2021-2030, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018
Ostertag's 2016 Pinot Noir Fronholz is deep and spicy on the pure, fresh, elegant, still slightly reductive nose where dark cherry and berry aromas are displayed and intermixed with raw meat and a touch of toast. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate, this is a silky, fresh, straight, beautifully pure and fleshy Pinot with good concentration and sour cherry flavors in the tensioned and stimulating finish. Nice astringency and concentration. After the 2015, this is an impressive Pinot Noir again. Tasted October 2018.
